Holy shite, that racing yesterday was choice.  We arrived some time after 10 and did the usual riders breifing and taping of headlights.  We decided to race/practice clockwise initially - but this proved to be way too technical and slow.  So back to the favoured direction and ruining the lefthand side of our tyres.  The practices were generally without incident except for Francis and Armstrong, on their ss90's, inspecting the track closer than normal on their right and left sides respectively.  Armstrong had buried the boot coming out of the pits and then tipped his bike in a bit hard without letting the tyres warm up, nice slow lie down, though Neil later told me the tyre was old and the rubber off - poor selection.

The best lie down of the day was had by Rupert Hunter, evil racing alias of Peter, coming through the hairpin after a close start he tried to go up the inside of the pack, with some selector box contact he came unstuck and low sided into Armstrong.  I only witnessed the aftermath, where Ruperts bike had tried to mount the Galvatron with little success and instead just tore off a part of her cooling shroud casting, and if possible the PX managed to come off uglier than it was before.

The restart was clean, Cochran out in front followed by Poo and Mackley.  Mackley was quick to take advantage of one Cochrans many mistakes in the second lap, but Cochran managed to hold Mackley's tail for second place and keep clear of Poo...

The second race was a handicapped grid, with T5 todd the terminator, taking top honours from amongst the buzzing hoards.  At the back of the pack, Poo, Neil and Cochran grappled to get past each other but only succeeded in slowing the group from catching up with the pack.

Brilliant days racing, with only the brief threat of rain, the podiums going to Mackley, T5 todd and Poo - Mackley conceded his placing due to track prowess and superior sponsorship, so Todd took home the 4litre pack of Motul and Poo the maintenance kit for Vestas.  Next race date is the 3rd weekend of July. Sunday the 18th.
